Finally, I redesigned my portfolio

Finally, I have redesigned my portfolio website. The last time I created my portfolio, I showcased all of my work, including both brand and product design. This time, however, I focused on my main area, which is visual-oriented product design. While I still love brand design, I realized that my greatest interest lies in infusing brand essence into the product world. It took some time to come to this realization.

I selected the work that I believe best blends brand and product design.

Bringing back personal writing space

One of my favorite aspects of this new website is the writing space. The idea of personally storing one's own data, rather than having it corporate-owned, has gained significant traction in recent years, as seen in the IndieWeb movement. Many designers have created personal sites with writing spaces. Although this website is hosted through Framer and the data is not stored on my own server, it still brings me joy to have a small personal space online.

Design

The design of this portfolio is based on the beautiful Framer template, Opaque. I updated the typefaces and layouts, but the basic text styles and layout for the Writing page remain largely from the original template. Thank you so much Aaron, who designed the template.

Update the portfolio incrementally

There is still more content I'd like to update, such as:

• Adding case studies

• Adding a Japanese version of my bio

• Setting up a custom domain
